Fireworks

Jade smiled politely at a crowd of people as they pushed past her. She had forgotten the crowd of people which came rushing in to watch the fireworks at her old university. A group of drunken guys, barely out of college - if even that old - invited her to join them. She again smiled politely, brushing them off. Each smile was tossed out without feeling. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the fireworks or the crowds. Usually. Tonight though, alone except her memories and the crowd of strangers, she just couldn't get into the spirit of the day.

The sun was still shining bright as she let her glance shift to the direction of where she'd last watched the fireworks from - many years ago. A lifetime ago. A different person ago. It used to be a nice grassy patch, hidden from the view of the crowd, secluded. She wondered if it was still there - still a nice quiet place to watch from. With a nostalgic smile, she began to walk that way. The sun was beginning to go down, barely hovering over the horizon, as she neared the place.

Her heart sunk as she saw a figure half hidden by the trees and bushes as she came closer to her once secret place. She stopped, turning to leave.

"Jade?"

Jade froze at the sound of her name, the sound of the disbelief in the voice, the sound of a voice she barely recognized.

"Jeremy?"

She turned, staring in shock at the man in front of her. He'd stood now, coming out of the secret place, now face to face with her.

"What are you..." they both started asking at the same time. A low chuckle escaped Jeremy as he gestured for her to continue.

"What are you doing here?"

"Watching the fireworks," he shrugged.

"But, this isn't the best place to see the fireworks..."

"Maybe not. But, if memory serves, it is the best place for creating some fireworks." He winked at her, knowing she was remembering, too. Such bittersweet memories. "Join me?"

Jade raised her eyebrows, an unspoken question of if his invite was to watch the fireworks, or create more.

Jeremy took her hand in his, moving back into the sanctuary of the bushes and trees. "It really isn't a bad place for watching," he tried to reassure her his intentions were pure. Jade gave in, settling in on the blanket he had laid on the grass. He sat next to her. It had been eight years since they'd last seen each other, eight years of catching up they should have been doing, but Jade couldn't think of a single thing to say. And, by the silence from Jeremy, it appeared he had nothing to say either. But Jade could feel the tension surrounding him. She reached out a hand to touch his arm.

"Everything ok?"

Jeremy looked from her hand to her face, then back again. As he once again met her eyes, he allowed her to see the fire within them. He allowed her to see what one simple touch from her does to him.

Jade pulled her lower lip between her teeth nervously and began to move her hand from his arm. He quickly covered it with his own hand. Holding it lightly, he brought it to his lips, lightly kissing the knuckles. He heard Jade's intake of breath. He opened her hand and let his lips linger on her palm, then slowly move to her wrist, flicking his tongue against the sensitive flesh.

His motions made Jade dizzy, lightheaded. She could do nothing but keep her gaze fixed on his as he worked magic on the underside of her arm. "Jer...?" she managed to utter as she swayed.

Jeremy quickly moved so his arm was around her shoulders. He was still holding her hand, as he leaned in to kiss her softly on the lips. Laying her back against the blanket, he kept his kiss gentle and unrushed. Jade brought her free arm up around his shoulder, sneaking her tongue out to brush against his lips, lightly tasting. The feel of her reaction caused him to moan, making it more difficult to stay in control.

Jade knew this was wrong - knew she shouldn't be enjoying this so much from the man who had once broke her heart. Or had she broke his? She couldn't even remember anymore. She just knew she'd spend the past eight years trying to get him out of her head. And now, here she was letting him kiss her. But damn did it feel good. She let her fingers grip his shoulder tighter, pulling his lip between her teeth, sucking gently. Jeremy let out another low groan, trying to keep his touch and kiss slow. As she shifted beneath him, her body brushing against his growing need, his control snapped.

Jeremy kissed her hard, pushing his tongue between her lips, dancing it against hers as he released her hand. He slid his hand behind her neck, pulling her tighter to his lips. His other hand slid over her throat to her chest, brushing across the swell of her breasts. She brought her other hand behind him, scratching both her nails lightly down his back, pulling his t-shirt up to slide her hands under it, laying them against his bare skin. Jeremy pulled himself up slightly to pull her tank top up, lifting her slightly as he pulled it off her. Laying her back down, he quickly pulled his shirt off too, then sat there gazing down at her. Her tank had had a built in bra, so now she laid there completely topless, and obviously aroused.

Jade blushed, moving her hands to cover herself. Jeremy stopped her movement, pinning her hands to her sides. He smiled softly at her before lowering his head to capture one nipple between his teeth.

The sound of Jade's intake of breath was audible to Jeremy. He smiled around her nipple, still sucking and nipping at it softly. Hesitantly he moved his mouth from her breasts, kissing and licking a path down her stomach. She moaned softly, rocking her hips, her fingers tangling themselves into his hair as she pushed him lower.

Knowing what she wanted, and knowing he wanted it just as much, he let his tongue travel down her belly, stopping just below her belly button, nibbling a path from hip to hip. She quivered, pressing her hips up towards him, the heat pooling between her legs....
